Children's Day Camp
July 23rd - July 27th, 2007 Athens, GA
Beechahaven will be conducting a childrens day camp with our next door neighbors, The Park at West Broad. We are currently seeking volunteers to help entertain and reach out to children in our very own back-yard.

Amhearst Trip
July 28th - August 14th, 2007 Amhearst, Ohio
Beechhaven wll conduct a sports camp, perform construction/deconstruction work, survey the community, and spread the love and good news of Christ in Amhears, Ohio.

Past Missions

Conversational Spanish Class
October - November 2006
We tought a 6-week conversational spanish course that is geared torwards the absolute beginner. Reception has been strong, and members seem to really be enjoying the class. A follow-up course is anticipated.

New-York State Partnership Initiative
July 13th - 23rd Buffalo/Niagara Falls, New York
A team from Beechhaven assisted two churches in the state of New-York with VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, community surveys, creative outreach events and maintenance projects

International World Changers
June 25th - July 30th Quito, Ecuador
Youth taught English classes, creative arts, drama, and conducted sports camps and coffee houses in an effort to reach out to the people of Ecuador.

Aids Awareness
June 25-July 30 Livingstone, Zambia
The team returned once again to Zambia, continuing to demonstrate the love of Jesus to orphans, windows, and many others. As much of Zambia faces an uncertain future, team members worked to educate the populace about the teachings of Christ and their practical applications torwards surviving in an AIDS-ravaged enivornment.

Home Renovation
July 2006 Lynch, Kentucky
Serving for five days, our team worked to renovate housing for a family of four.

Baptist Student Union Summer Missions
June 1st - August 1st, 2006 Marin & Sonoma California
College students worked with local Southern Baptist Churches doing VBS, Children's Camps, ESL classes and Hispanic Language Missions.

Mobile Medical Unit
October 1st, 2005 Athens, GA A dental clinic was led by Joyce Bowen using the Georgia Baptist Mobile Medical Unit. Dental services were provided to patients on a no-charge basis. Hair-cuts and child-entertainment were also provided.

Approximately 31 patients were served. Members from Mission Christiana provided a noon meal and young ladies from the congregation served as interpreters.

Zambia Orphanage and AIDS Awareness
Zambia August 2005 Team members ministered at a Christian orphanage. They brought clothes and gifts to be put away for Christmas. Many of the children had parents that had died of AIDS. Team members showed the Jesus film in their native languages and educated the AIDS-ravaged populace on the deadly disease that had left so many of the children orphans.

Hispanic Vacation Bible School
Athens, GA August 2005 Church members worked in conjunction with Jefferson Road Baptist to put on a Vacation Bible School for the area's Hispanic children. Arts, crafts, games, and stories were used to minister to the children.

Church Renovation
Loredo, Texas June 24th - July 2nd, 2005
The Youth / Adult Santa Fe Mission Trip left Athens June 24 and departed Laredo, Texas for home on July 2, 2005. The Group was approximately 30 in number, consisting of 18 - 20 youth and 12 - 14 adults. The Group was housed in the United Baptist Church in Laredo, Texas. Ministries conducted at La Iglesia Bautista Santa Fe (Santa Fe Baptist Church) with Pastor Angel Lara included:
- Sports Clinics
- VBS
- Renovation
- Prayer Walking
- Computer installation and training
- Evangelism

Construct a Church
Panguitch, Utah June 4th-12th, 2005
This church building mission trip was conducted by Christian Sportsman's Ministry (CSM) in Panguitch, Utah. The single focus of the project was to erect a 40 X 60 metal church building. The group consisted of 15 men.

Four were saved the following Sunday in that building.
